Lego Sword

The other day my son was sure he heard his father knocking on door. Sometimes I let him open the door when I know for sure it is daddy knocking. However, this time I didn't think it was Daddy. I told him to look out the window to make sure it was Daddy. I'm a little slow going these days due to the baby belly; so, I took a bit to get up from the sofa.

He ignored me and opened the door. I freaked out. I had to talk to both of them to explain why it is dangerous, and tell them about the possible 'bad guy' at the door. Then my 3-year-old daughter said, "If a bad comes in the house. I am going to be like Ammon and get my Lego sward (sword) and chop off his fingers. Then I am going to say, 'That's what you get' for coming into our house."

  1. Isn't it sad that we live in a world where we have to be afraid of who may be at the door. But isn't it wonderful that our kids believe that they can protect us ;-)
